Hyderabad: A man stabbed his wife to death at a house in Kushaiguda, suspecting her fidelity.

According to the police, the man, Banda Shankar (40), got married to Manjula (35) around 20 years ago and the couple are natives of Bhuvanagiri.

For some years, Shankar was allegedly quarrelling with his wife, suspecting that she was having an affair with someone. Following a quarrel, a few days ago, Manjula came to the house of her sister Rani, located at Maheshwarnagar in Kushaiguda and was staying there.

On Friday, Shankar came to the house and the family elders counselled the couple. Shankar apologized to them and assured them to take care of his wife.

“In the night, when everyone was asleep, Shankar woke up and stabbed his wife to death using a sharp-edged weapon. He then fled the house,” said Kushaiguda Inspector, L Bhaskar Reddy.

The police registered a case and are investigating.
