Hyderabad: A man, who allegedly attempted to die by suicide by immolating himself in front of the Lalaguda police station was saved by the police on Wednesday.
The man identified as Rajesh, from Lalapet, had gone to the police station with a bottle of fuel and began accusing the police of harassing him by booking a false case against him last month. Police said Rajesh suddenly doused himself with fuel and tried to light a matchstick, when the police personnel there managed to intervene and stop him.
The Lalaguda police are investigating.
