Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force (South) caught three medical store owners on charges of illegally selling Nitravet and Alpracad tablets. The arrests were made after raids on their shops in the old city on Thursday, during which the police seized 405 tablets.
Acting on a tip off, the Task Force nabbed Syed Masood Ali (40), Syed Mohammed (41) and Arun Karwa (35), owners of medical stores located in different areas of old city. According to the police, the three were procuring the tablets from different places and selling it to drug addicts at a price higher than the MRP, that too without the mandatory prescription, Task Force DCP Gummi Chakravarthy said.
The trio along with the seized tablets were handed over to the Kamatipura police for further action.
