Hyderabad Metro Rail land acquisition accelerated; Compensation to property owners approved

Hyderabad: For the phase-2 of Metro from MGBS to Chandrayangutta, notifications were issued for acquisition of 800 properties.

According to a statement issued by the Hyderabad District Collector, an agreement has been reached on compensation of these properties.


“For the compensation of these properties, an agreement has been reached after discussions with many of the property owners to pay Rs. 81,000 per square yard and the construction value,” the statement read.

The house owners can go to Metro Bhavan, Rasoolpura, Begumpet and give their consent. The entire compensation will be given to them in the form of a cheque within 10 days of giving consent, the statement added.
