Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) on Thursday announced revised fare structures across all its services in the twin cities, which will come into effect from Saturday, May 17, 2025.

The L&T Metro Rail on Thursday in a statement said the Fare Fixation Committee of the Hyderabad Metro Rail, after taking into consideration affordability and financial sustainability, has recommended the revised fare structure.

The revised fares are:

  • Up to 2 km – Rs 12
  • More than 2 km up to 4 km- Rs 18
  • More than 4 km up to 6 km: Rs 30
  • More than 6 km up to 9 km: Rs 40
  • More than 9 km up to 12 km: Rs 50
  • More than 12 km up to 15 km: Rs 55
  • More than 15 km up to 18 km: Rs 60
  • More than 18 km up to 21 km: Rs 66
  • More than 21 km up to 24 km: Rs 70
  • More than 24 km, Rs 75

The HMR officials said that in accordance with Section 34 of Metro Railways (Operation & Maintenance) Act, 2002, a Fare Fixation Committee (FFC) under the Chairmanship of former Judge of the High Court was constituted for recommending a revised fare structure.

The Fare Fixation Committee submitted its report recommending the revised fare structure on January 25, 2023. As per Section 37 of the Metro Railway O&M Act, the recommendations made by the Fare Fixation Committee shall be binding on the Metro Railway Administration. The revised fare structure will come into effect from May 17, 2025.
