Hyderabad Metro to launch new offers from Nov 1

The Metro Suvarna offer was launched on October 17 and Metro officials said there was good response from passengers as there was an increase of ridership by over 30 per cent.

Hyderabad: Following a positive response from passengers to the Metro Suvarna offer, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) is launching two more offers from November 1.

The Metro Suvarna offer was launched on October 17 and Metro officials said there was good response from passengers as there was an increase of ridership by over 30 per cent. On an average, 1.30 lakh passenger trips were being made daily during weekdays and the numbers are increasing day by day, said HMRL Managing Director NVS Reddy.


As part of the Metro Suvarna offer, passengers can get cash back of up to 50 per cent on recharge of Metro smart cards. The offer is valid on smart card recharges at stations and online through Apps. The top-up amount has to be consumed within 90 days from recharge.

For instance, on recharge of Rs.1500, customer gets Rs.600 as cashback in smart card and the total amount added will be Rs.1,500 plus Rs.600, i.e.,Rs. 2100. This apart, the passenger also gets 10 per cent discount on every metro journey.

In addition, the Metro Suvarna Trip Offer, gives additional free trips to customers, and can now also be availed in existing smart cards.
