Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed at Mangalhat on Tuesday evening after a youngster was allegedly thrashed by some policemen.
According to the reports, a team of the Task Force police came to Dhoolpet to pick up one youngster Rajesh, who was previously involved in organizing satta betting. However, the man refused to accompany them and reportedly picked up a quarrel with the police. Angry over his behavior a few policemen allegedly manhandled him.
Soon after the incident local BJP legislator T Raja Singh came to the spot and took the man to Mangalhat police station and later shifted him to Osmania General Hospital.
Senior officials ordered an enquiry into the incident.
