Hyderabad: Minor girl raped by two men at Yacharam

A 15-year-old girl was raped by two men in Yacharam during Ganesh idol immersion. They lied to her about her mother being attacked and took her to a field. She escaped and informed villagers. Police filed a POCSO case

Hyderabad: A minor girl was allegedly raped by two individuals at Yacharam in the suburb on Saturday night.

As per available information, the incident occurred during the Ganesh idol immersion being taking place in a village, when the two men approached the 15-year-old girl and told her that her mother was being attacked by some unidentified persons.

They took her to a room in an agricultural field far from the village and sexually assaulted her. The girl, who was frightened by their actions, escaped from them and approached the villagers, who then called the police.

By the time the police reached the spot, the suspects had fled from there. ACP Raju, Yacharam Inspector Nandeeshwar inspected the spot and the girl was sent for a medical examination at the Vanasthalipuram Area Hospital.

It is learnt that while one of the accused is married and has two children, the other is unmarried.

Based on the complaint from the victim’s mother, the Yacharam police have registered a case Yacharam police on Sunday registered a POCSO case against two men and are investigating.
