Hyderabad: A 35-year-old man, who went missing on Friday, was found dead in a lake in Shabad mandal in Ranga Reddy district on the city outskirts here on Monday. He is suspected to have drowned accidentally, police said even as his family suspected foul play.
The victim Ch Anjaneyulu had left home informing that he was going to a nearby temple for Bonalu festivities. However he did not return. The family members, who waited till night, grew anxious and after searching for him at all possible places, approached the police.
However, even as their search and enquiries were still on, Anjaneyulu was found dead in the lake by the local residents. On receiving information, the Shabad police reached the spot and retrieved the body with the help of a local swimmer. Based on a complaint, a case was booked and investigation is on.
