Hyderabad: A 55-year-old woman who went missing three days ago was found dead in the Mantrala Cheruvu in Meerpet on Tuesday.

She is suspected to have died by suicide due to ill health, police said. The victim, identified as Yadamma alias Kamala from Mamatha Nagar Colony in Badangpet, had left home for a nearby shop and went missing on Sunday. As she did not return until night, anxious family members searched for him in all possible places, and later approached the local police.

While their search and enquiries were still on, Kamala was found dead in the lake by the local residents.

On receiving information, the Meerpet police reached the spot and retrieved the body with the help of expert swimmers. The case is under investigation.
