Hyderabad: Missing woman from Nagole found dead in Durgam Cheruvu, loan harassment angle probed

The body of a 26-year-old woman recovered from Durgam Cheruvu has been identified as Roja Ramani of Nagole. Preliminary investigations suggest alleged harassment by bank loan recovery agents may have driven her to take the extreme step. Police are investigating.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police have identified the woman whose body was recovered from Durgam Cheruvu as Roja Ramani (26), a resident of Nagole.
According to police, Roja Ramani was working as an accountant at a hospital in Madhapur. Her parents had earlier lodged a missing person complaint at the Nagole Police Station after she went missing.

The woman’s body was recovered from Durgam Cheruvu on last Friday after police received information that she had allegedly jumped from the Cable Stayed Bridge into the lake.

A search operation was carried with the help of a hydraulic crane, leading to the recovery of the body later.

Preliminary investigation suggested that Roja Ramani may have taken the extreme step due to alleged harassment by bank loan recovery agents.

The Raidurgam Police have registered a case and are investigation into the circumstances leading to her death.
