Hyderabad: MLRIT in collaboration with IPFC organises IP awareness programme

Hyderabad: The Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre (IPFC), in collaboration with the Department of Aeronautical Engineering, MLR Institute of Technology (MLRIT), organised a one-day IP awareness programme here on Saturday.
The programme was aimed at promoting awareness and understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) among startups and MSMEs.
The event featured insightful sessions on the significance of IPRs, the patent filing process, SCIPP scheme and the role of intellectual property in fostering entrepreneurship. Experts from the field provided insights, encouraging participants—particularly startups and MSMEs—to actively engage in protecting their innovations.
MLRIT founder secretary and Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajashekhar Reddy emphasized the importance of intellectual property rights in driving technological advancements and supporting entrepreneurial growth, particularly for startups and MSMEs. Principal Dr. K Srinivas Rao highlighted the institute’s commitment to innovation, IPRs, and research and development.
