Hyderabad: In view of the National Road Safety awareness campaign, an awareness programme was held at Charminar in the old city here on Wednesday. The personnel from Charminar traffic police station, while appreciating motorists wearing helmets by giving roses, also held counseling for those driving without helmets at City College junction and Madina Crossroads. They sought to create awareness among the motorists, especially two-wheeler riders and pillion riders, on wearing standard helmets, seat belts and cell phone driving for their own wellbeing and safety of others.
