Hyderabad: MRO lodges plaint against Corporator

Hyderabad: Shaikpet MRO Srinivas Reddy on Wednesday lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills police alleging that Banjara Hills corporator G Vijaya Laxmi abused and deterred him from performing his duties. Reddy alleged that over a previous enmity, Vijaya Laxmi along with her supporters barged into his office at Shaikpet and abused him, even as he was getting ready to go to the High Court to attend hearing in a case.

Meanwhile, Vijaya Laxmi lodged a counter complaint denying the allegation and said it was the MRO who abused and assaulted them. The Banjara Hills police, who are yet to book a case said the facts in both complaints are being verified. Based on further evidence, cases will be booked and necessary action will be taken against those responsible, they said.
