Hyderabad: No more recharge worries at RGI Airport
The new service at the airport will offer renting of power banks for passengers who do not carry a charger and/or having drained mobile battery/other gadgets
Hyderabad: Phone battery charging worries will not keep you on the edge at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport from now.
Waving bye to all charging worries while travelling, the GMR led Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), in collaboration with Spykke Innovation, has come up with a unique on-the-go charging option.
The new service at the airport will offer renting of power banks for passengers who do not carry a charger and/or having drained mobile battery/other gadgets. These power bank stations/kiosks are located at various locations in the airport. For recharging batteries/gadgets, all one has to do is to have a minimum balance of Rs 350 in one’s Paytm wallet. Just walk to the nearest power bank stations/kiosks, scan the QR code on the power bank, and the power bank will be dispensed.
These power banks come with an attached Micro-USB, Type C and certified Apple lightning cables that are compatible to charge any smartphone. The passengers can recharge their mobile/gadgets with the power bank at a nominal price. After recharging, they can replace the power bank in the empty slot of the charging station/kiosk. Based on the usage time, the amount will be automatically deducted from your digital wallet. There are multiple yearly plans available as well.
