Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed at Nampally on Wednesday afternoon when National Students union of India activists tried to lay siege to the Telangana State Public Service Commission building.

The NSUI had given a ‘Chalo TSPSC’ call on Wednesday following which students gathered at Gandhi Bhavan near the TSPSC building, where a large contingent of police was already stationed. However, the students scaled the gates of Gandhi Bhavan and ran towards the TSPSC building and sat on the road demanding that the TSPSC release job notifications.

Several activists were taken into preventive custody and shifted to Goshamahal police stadium.
