Hyderabad: The students of Oakridge International School, Bachupally, along with 60,000 other students from more than thirty countries across the Nord Anglia family, came together on “World Children’s Day” to spread awareness about children’s rights as part of UNICEF initiative.

The community service team of the school launched a ‘Health Ambassadors Programme’, which used a multi-modal approach including experiential talks, peer-learning sessions, hands-on workshops, and creative competitions, to make each student a health Ambassador. The programme was launched in the presence of Brian Cooklin, Managing Director-NAE India, Kolli Sireesha, chief guest, and Baljeet Oberoi, Principal.

Simran Panda and Vaishnavi Namdar, the health ambassadors from the school led a group of 20 volunteers for the NAE-UNICEF Summit 2021, to spread awareness and knowledge about the sustainable development Goals (SDG), child rights, and the key advocacy areas- climate action, mental health, immunisation, and education.
