Hyderabad: District Election Officer RV Karnan instructed officials to strictly adhere to the Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines for the upcoming Jubilee Hills bypoll.
He attended a training programme held for sector officers, BLO supervisors, and BLOs involved in the bypoll and gave a PowerPoint presentation on the roles and responsibilities of the election staff. Later, he visited the Returning Officer’s office at the MRO Office in Shaikpet to review the preparedness for the nomination process.
Meanwhile, as part of the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct, the GHMC has so far removed 2,176 political party promotional materials, including 1,431 from government properties and 745 from private premises in various areas of the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency.
