Hyderabad: One dead, 15 fall ill after consuming biryani at New Year party
One person died and 15 others fell ill after allegedly consuming biryani during a New Year party at Jagathgirigutta in Hyderabad. The victim collapsed after vomiting and died in hospital, while others are undergoing treatment. Authorities are awaiting further details.
Hyderabad: One person died and 15 other people developed health problems after allegedly consuming biryani during a New Year party at Jagathgirigutta on Wednesday night.
According to reports, the man Pandu, a resident of Bhavaninagar in Jagathgirigutta had consumed biryani during the party arranged locally. After consuming food, Pandu started vomiting and fell unconscious. He was rushed to a hospital by his friends where he died while undergoing treatment. Another 15 people who had consumed the food also fell ill and were shifted to hospital where they are undergoing treatment.
