Hyderabad: The Jeedimetla police solved the murder case of Beerender Kumar (55), an automobile mechanic which was reported on Friday and arrested a worker from his workshop in connection with the killing, on Saturday. A financial issue led to the murder.

The arrested person was identified as Mohd Zaheer (30), from Roda Mistry Nagar, who started working at Beerender Kumar’s shop one month ago.

Police sources said, on Thursday midnight, Zaheer had picked up an argument with Beerender in the workshop over a matter of Rs.500.

He demanded money and when Beerender refused to give, Zaheer grabbed an iron rod and bludgeoned him to death.

Beerender Kumar died on the spot.
