Hyderabad: One person was injured when a car ran into a roadside tea stall at Chaderghat here on Tuesday evening. The driver was attempting to reverse the car when the incident occurred.
According to the police, one Bapuraju, a resident of Malakpet went to the D-Mart store in Chaderghat after parking his car in the parking lot. On returning, he started the engine and was attempting to reverse the car.
“It is suspected he accidentally stepped on the accelerator, instead of the brake. The car ran into a tea stall injuring a security personnel who was standing there,” police said, adding that the injured person was rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where his condition was stated to be out of danger. The Chaderghat police are investigating.
