Hyderabad: One person was injured when a truck loaded with sand turned over on the outer ring road at Narsingi on the city outskirts on Friday.
A rash and negligent driver is said to have led to the incident, police said.
The incident occurred when the truck was proceeding from Hyderabad towards Kokapet. When it reached Narsingi, the driver of the truck who was driving the vehicle at a high speed lost control of the steering wheel.
The truck driver escaped with minor injuries. A major accident narrowly avoided. Huge traffic jam.
Traffic personnel rushed to the scene and shifted the injured person to the hospital. The truck was moved aside with the help of a crane.
“The vehicle lost control due to excessive speed and overload. Driver’s negligence is the cause, ” said an official adding that case is being investigated.
Locals claimed that hundreds of trucks are constantly running with overload on the route every day. Transport department officials should take note on it.
