Hyderabad: Osmania University falls to MDU in Khelo India tennis final

Osmania University started well in the Khelo India women’s tennis final after Saumya won the first singles, but MDU bounced back by winning the second singles and the deciding doubles match. MDU claimed the championship with a strong comeback in Jaipur.

HYDERABAD: Osmania University lost to Maharshi Dayanand University in the final of the Khelo India Inter-university women’s tennis championship at Jaipur.

Saumya won the first singles for OU, defeating Reny Singh 6-2, 6-2, but Chevila lost to Anjali Rati 2-6, 5-7 in the second singles.

In the crucial doubles, OU duo of Saumya and Chevika lost to Anjali Rati and Reny Singh 6-4, 3-6, 5-7.
