Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) identified dark spots in different parts of the city and installed 14,308 streetlights.
“Out of the total lights installed, 3,743 are in LB Nagar Zone, 1,358 in Khairatabad Zone, 2,665 in Secunderabad Zone, 3,827 in Charminar Zone, 1,312 in Serilingampally Zone and 1,403 in Kukatpally Zone,” said GHMC in a press release.
The lights are being inspected regularly said GHMC officials. “Besides the 14, 308 lights installed in dark spots, the existing lights in different parts of the city are also inspected regularly. Recently the inspections were held in NFC X Road- Cable Chowrasta road,” said GHMC executive engineer Mamatha working in the Urban Community Development wing.
