Hyderabad: Over 20 PJTSAU students fall ill after consuming hostel food

Nearly 25 students of Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University fell ill after consuming hostel food at Rajendranagar. The students were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment, and their condition is reported to be stable, according to officials.

Hyderabad: Close to 25 students from Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), Rajendranagar, fell ill after consuming hostel food, according to multiple reports here on Monday.

The students reportedly fell sick after consuming a meal at the university hostel. Due to alleged food contamination, students suffered from dehydration, vomiting, diarrhoea and stomach ache.


Reports indicated that the university staff immediately shifted the affected students to several hospitals in Rajendranagar and surrounding areas for treatment. The health condition of the students is stated to be stable and they are improving.
