Hyderabad: Overcast sky and rains to continue this week
Hyderabad will see moderate to heavy rain this week, while several Telangana districts face red alerts for very heavy rainfall. Adilabad saw up to 173 mm in 24 hours, and IMD warns of more intense spells in the coming days

Hyderabad: Under the influence of a low-pressure area, Hyderabad and surrounding districts can expect yet another week of overcast weather conditions with moderate to heavy rainfall at different locations.
However, in the districts, the rainfall is expected to be extremely heavy to very heavy.
Over the last 24-hours, while Hyderabad and its neighboring districts of Medchal-Malkajgiri and Rangareddy largely remained dry with only sporadic light to moderate showers, other parts of Telangana were heavily impacted, with Adilabad recording rainfall ranging from 119 mm to 173 mm.
The two-day forecast for Hyderabad released by the IMD looks at moderate to heavy rain or thunderstorms with intense spells.
For districts, IMD has issued a red alert for Monday in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Hanumakonda, Mahabubabad, Mulugu and Warangal districts, apart from heavy to very heavy rainfall for Adilabad, Jangaon, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Khammam, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Siddipet and Suryapet.
