Hyderabad: Panic prevails as electric transformer catches fire in Yakutpura

Hyderabad: Panic prevailed for some time when an electric transformer caught fire in Yakutpura on Friday afternoon. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
The incident occurred in a busy commercial area with several business establishments near the Al Safa Dairy unit.
Sources said, as the transformer was located near businesses, locals had panicked on seeing the huge flames and smoke emanating and called the Fire Department and police.
The Fire Department personnel reached the spot immediately and doused the fire before it could spread to the business establishments in the surroundings. The local residents too helped the police and fire personnel.
The cause of fire was not known.
The Rein Bazaar police are investigating the matter.
