Hyderabad: Panic prevails as fire breaks out in building on Chatrinaka main road
According to the fire officials, the fire broke out in the kitchen of the house and soon spread into the entire house
Hyderabad: A fire broke out in a footwear godown located in a multi-storied building at Bhoiguda in Chatrinaka in the old city on Tuesday evening. No casualties were reported.
According to local residents, the fire started on the second floor of the building and subsequently spread to the upper floor and engulfed the entire building.
On being alerted by the local residents, fire department and police officials reached the spot. Two engines from the nearby fire stations reached the spot and the firefighters doused the fire within an hour.
As a safety measure, police personnel evacuated residents from adjacent buildings.
The Chatrinaka police are investigating. The worth of the damaged material is yet to be estimated.
