Hyderabad: Pieces of meat found on temple premises near Masab tank

Local people who noticed the pieces of meat in the temple premises alerted the committee members who alerted the police.

Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed for a while at Pochamma Basthi, Masab Tank in the city after pieces of meat were found near a temple on Saturday night.

The incident occured around midnight.

Local people who noticed the pieces of meat in the temple premises alerted the committee members who alerted the police. The local police rushed the spot and cordoned off the area.

After analysing the footage of the surveillance cameras installed near the spot the police found that couple of stray dogs had carried the meat pieces from somewhere and left it in the temple.

The police made the footages public and asked the citizens not believe in rumours.
