Hyderabad: A six-lane bidirectional PJR flyover (Shilpa Layout stage-II flyover) between Kondapur and Kondapur will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday. The flyover has been constructed by the GHMC at a cost of Rs. 446.13 crore.
The flyover will not only provide free movement of traffic and relief at Gachibowli Junction from the ORR towards Kondapur and vice versa, but will also save travel time at Gachibowli Junction during peak hours by approximately 10.05 minutes in one direction. This flyover will offer better connectivity between Hi-tech City and the Financial District.
Key features of the flyover include a three-lane down ramp from the Kondapur flyover-ORR side and a three-lane up ramp to the Kondapur flyover-ORR side. Previously, it took an average of 12 minutes to travel through this route, but now it takes only 2 minutes on the flyover, according to a press release from the GHMC.
