HYDERABAD: D Suresh Babu defeated KN Venkatesh 9-0 in the 45 years & above singles (qualifying round) of the fourth Vertex All India senior ranking tennis tournament at Bhimavaram on Saturday.
The results:
Qualifying: 70 years & above: PK Baba beats BLN Rao 9-4; Bhaskar Rao bt Sadasiva Reddy 9-7.
65 years & above: Kotaiah Goud beats Sana Kishore 9-3; Dara Isaiah beats Simhachalam 9-1; Satyanarayana Raju beats C Ravi Kumar 9-3.
45 years & above: D Suresh Babu beats KN Venkatesh 9-0; K Sathyanarayana beats Exhil Maran 9-4.
