Hyderabad police arrest five more in ‘rich kids trap’ case
Hyderabad police arrested five more people in the “rich kids trap” case involving fake social media profiles, alleged sexual assault, and blackmail. The network reportedly targeted young women and extorted money, with investigations revealing around 10 suspects so far.

Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police on Tuesday made five more arrests in the ‘rich kids trap’ case.
Two main suspects, Arjun and his brother Rajeev, from Bengaluru, were already arrested by the police and remanded in the case.
On Tuesday, the police arrested Arjun’s mother, Meena Kumari, his uncle Prashanth, their family friend Vineet Chowdhary and Arjun’s two friends Hemanth and Jatin.
The police said Meena Kumari and Prashanth had knowledge of the activities of the prime accused, Arjun and Rajeev. Both had allegedly helped them in their activities, police claimed.
The gang members created fake profiles on Instagram pretending to be wealthy individuals and targeted young girls from rich families across the city.
After gaining their trust, the gang took them to remote places and sexually assaulted them and filmed the act. Later, they allegedly blackmailed the girl by showing the videos and collected lakhs of rupees from them.
The police investigation so far revealed that 10 people were involved in the network and the gang had been operating for several months and targeted many young women from rich families.
