Hyderabad: Police arrest two persons for manufacturing fake cosmetic products
The duo from Surat in Gujarat was manufacturing products copying popular brands, which are best-selling on online platforms
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cybercrime police arrested two persons on charges of manufacturing fake cosmetic products like hair oils, and face creams of popular brands, which are best-selling on online platforms.
They were manufacturing the products by copying the same images and preparing the same bottles with labels by procuring the oils, and creams from the open market. They make products that look just like the original products.
The arrested persons were Chauhan Niral Babubhai and Neel Nikulbhai, both from Surat in Gujarat. The absconding suspects were Vishesh Ahuja, Prasad, and Alisha.
The fraudsters found a product named Rabbit Hair Oil pertaining to Punarjeevani Pvt Ltd Company garnering good public demand and they started manufacturing fake products under its name, by imitating the original products and supplying the same through an e-commerce platform.
Based on a complaint from the Rabbit Hair Oil management, the Cybercrime police booked a case and arrested the duo. Efforts were on to nab the absconding suspects.
