Hyderabad: With a noticeable rise in the activities of rowdy-sheeters in the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate limits, the city police have taken a key decision to tighten surveillance and enforcement.

Acting on the directions of Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar, authorities have begun conducting drug tests on identified rowdy-sheeters across the city.

According to officials, Hyderabad currently has over 1,300 rowdy-sheeters. So far, more than 250 individuals have undergone drug screening, out of which around 190 tested positive for marijuana consumption.

In light of these findings, police have intensified efforts to trace and act against marijuana suppliers.
Strict legal action is expected against those involved in drug distribution networks.
