Hyderabad Police bind over 100 persons ahead of Jubilee Hills bypoll
Hyderabad Police have bound over more than 100 persons, including Congress candidate Naveen Yadav’s father Chinna Srisailam Yadav, ahead of the Jubilee Hills bye-election. The move follows Election Commission directions to maintain peace and prevent law and order issues.

Hyderabad: In a major preventive step ahead of the Jubilee Hills bye-election, the Hyderabad Police have bound over 100 persons, including Chinna Srisailam Yadav, father of Congress MLA candidate Naveen Yadav, and several known rowdy-sheeters, to ensure peace and order.
Acting on the Election Commission’s directions, the police stepped up surveillance after reports emerged that a number of rowdy-sheeters had taken part in Naveen Yadav’s nomination rally.
According to official sources, 74 rowdy-sheeters were bound over in the Borabanda police station limits, while 19 others, including Chinna Srisailam’s brother Ramesh Yadav, were bound over in the Madhuranagar limits.
Police have warned that strict action will be taken against anyone found violating election norms or disturbing public peace.
They also said that special monitoring had been intensified on the movements of rowdy elements during the election period.
