Hyderabad police book cases over vandalism during RCB victory celebrations
Hyderabad police registered cases against several individuals for damaging public property and creating a nuisance during celebrations of Royal Challengers Bengaluru's IPL victory. Police said arrests would be made after identifying those involved through surveillance footage and social media videos.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police registered cases against several individuals for creating a nuisance and damaging public property during the celebrations following Royal Challengers Bengaluru‘s (RCB) victory in the IPL on Sunday night.
A huge crowd gathered near the Telangana Secretariat and NTR Ghat to celebrate RCB’s victory over Gujarat Titans on Sunday. However, during the celebrations, several individuals who were allegedly drunk started damaging police barricades and other vehicles, prompting the police to resort to a lathi charge to disperse the crowd. Videos of the mob damaging public property went viral on social media platforms, drawing criticism from several quarters.
A senior Hyderabad police official stated that cases had been booked against the individuals who vandalised public property and arrests would be made after they were identified with the help of videos circulated on social media platforms and footage recorded by surveillance cameras.
