Hyderabad Police book sitting MLAs and ex-MLAs for MCC violation
Hyderabad Police have booked three cases against sitting and former MLAs, including Congress and BRS leaders, for violating the Model Code of Conduct during the Jubilee Hills bypoll. Police warned of strict legal action and urged citizens to report violations.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police have registered three cases against several sitting and former MLAs for violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during polling for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election on Tuesday.
Two cases were registered at the Madhuranagar Police Station against sitting Congress MLAs Beerla Ilaiah, Ramachandra Nayak, and Ramdas. Another case was registered at the Borabanda Police Station against former BRS MLAs Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar and Methuku Anand.
Police warned that strict legal action would be taken against those who violated the election code regulations.
They stressed that everyone must respect the MCC to ensure elections are conducted peacefully and transparently in line with democratic principles. Citizens were urged to inform the police by dialling 100 if they witnessed any violations of election regulations.
