Hyderabad police bust Odisha drug supply chain, seize 23 kg marijuana

Hyderabad: The SOT LB Nagar team, along with Nagole police, busted an Odisha-Hyderabad drug supply chain and arrested two inter-state drug peddlers, recovering 23 kg of marijuana worth Rs 11.51 lakh.

The suspects were identified as Trinath Nirike and Sona Hunthal, both drivers from Koraput district in Odisha.

Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted their vehicles near Nagole X Road on Tuesday night and recovered marijuana concealed in two vehicles.

The suspects allegedly brought the contraband from Odisha for sale to customers in Hyderabad on the directions of Kammu, who is absconding.

Case is under investigation.
