Hyderabad police busts illegal samosa unit in Jiyaguda, seize food stock worth Rs 5 lakh
Hyderabad Police raided an illegal food manufacturing unit in Jiyaguda, uncovering large-scale samosa preparation under unhygienic conditions. Authorities seized food stock and raw materials worth Rs 5 lakh and took the 73-year-old owner into custody.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police have cracked down on an illegal food manufacturing unit uncovering large scale samosa preparation under unsafe conditions at Jiyaguda on Friday.
The Task Force’s food safety wing (H-FAST), along with Kulsumpura police, carried out the raid on Friday evening.
They have found that the unit was operating without required licences and using poor quality and stale ingredients.
According to the police, Abdul Rasheed (73), the unit owner was taken into custody. He was allegedly preparing with the help of few workers under unhygienic surroundings, with repeated use of cooking oil and spoiled items, raising serious health concerns.
Police seized food stock and raw materials worth about Rs 5 lakh, including hundreds of prepared samosas, spoiled eggs and bulk ingredients. Equipment used for cooking and processing was also seized.
Case is being investigated.
