Hyderabad: Police confirm actress Shobhitha Shivanna’s death as suicide

The investigation officials are also analysing the suicide note purportedly written by her which read ‘If you want to die, you can do it,”.

Hyderabad: The Gachibowli police, based on forensic doctors’ opinion have confirmed that popular Kannada film and TV actress Shobhitha Shivanna had died by suicide and cause of death was hanging.

Her husband Sudheer Reddy and in-laws had told the police that there were no marital issues between the couple and they have been happily married since two years.
The investigation officials are also analysing the suicide note purportedly written by her which read ‘If you want to die, you can do it,”.

According to the police, Shobitha and her husband Sudheer, had exchanged views and interests on a matrimony site and they had an arranged marriage with the consent of elders from both the sides. However, after their wedding, Shobitha had stopped acting in TV soaps of movies and stayed back home.

Shobhitha, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a flat in Gachibowli on Sunday. She was found hanging to the ceiling in the house. The actress, who hailed from Sakleshpur in Karnataka’s Hassan district, was married and had been residing in Hyderabad for the past two years.

The body was shifted to her native place for final rites after autopsy at the Osmania General Hospital on Monday.
