Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police have invoked the Preventive Detention (PD) Act against Mir Akbar Ali (32), a habitual offender from Yakutpura, citing his repeated involvement in serious crimes and a threat to the public.
Acting on the order of Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, the local police had detained Ali, who has a criminal history spanning 25 cases, including murder, robbery, narcotics offences and arms violations.
