Hyderabad: With the State government announcing a lockdown from Wednesday to contain the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, the city police are gearing up for strict implementation of the lockdown guidelines.
The police said they will be seizing the vehicles of persons found moving either without valid reason or by violating the guidelines and book cases under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and other provisions.
All the shops and establishments catering to the essential needs of public were instructed to ensure physical distancing of their customers. The police warned action against managements of shops who were found to be violating lockdown norms, and even sealing them permanently.
