Hyderabad police grill Dr Namrata in surrogacy racket case

Dr Pachipala Namrata, the main accused in the Hyderabad surrogacy scam case, is being questioned by the Gopalapuram police for the second day. A local court granted five-day police custody. She is accused of running a fake surrogacy racket

Hyderabad: The Gopalapuram police are questioning Dr Pachipala Namrata in connection with the surrogacy scam case for the second consecutive day.

A local court on Thursday granted five-day police custody of Dr Namrata, the prime accused in the surrogacy scam case.

On Saturday, the police took Dr Namrata from the Special Prison for Women, Chanchalguda, for questioning. She was arrested along with a few others for running a fake surrogacy racket and cheating childless couples.
