Hyderabad police hold cyber awareness programme for students
The Hyderabad central zone police organised a cyber crimes awareness programme at FTCCI Building, Nampally, to educate students about online frauds such as job scams, betting apps, loan apps, and OTP frauds. DCP K Shilpavalli emphasised the seriousness of cyber crime and urged students to remain vigilant in the digital space.

Hyderabad: A cyber crimes awareness programme was organised by the Hyderabad central zone police at FTCCI Building, Red Hills, Nampally on Saturday.
The programme aimed to educate students about various types of cyber frauds, including online job scams, APK links, betting apps, loan apps, matrimonial sites, credit card apps, digital arrest scams, and OTP frauds.
K Shilpavalli, DCP (central) while interacting with the students emphasised that cyber crime is a serious social challenge and urged students to be vigilant and responsible in the digital world.
The students were advised not to trust suspicious calls, links, or mobile applications and not to share OTPs, passwords, or banking details with anyone. They were also briefed about betting apps that lure users with promises of quick money and warned against falling prey to such apps.
Awareness videos demonstrating real-life cyber fraud scenarios were shown, and the students took the “Cyber Pledge” to be vigilant and responsible digital citizens.
