Hyderabad: A job mela was organised by the Hyderabad city police at Kamma Sangham function hall in Ameerpet on Saturday. About 20 companies participated in the job fair and offered 2,000 jobs to the candidates. Around 5,000 unemployed youth participated in the job fair.
City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, inaugurating the fair, said that in every field of the society, the police were becoming partners and job fairs were being organised regularly in all the five zones in the city.
“So far around two lakh people have registered with the city police and over 25,000 got jobs. It is a sort of world record for the police to organise a job fair,” he said.
