Hyderabad: The Ghatkesar police have identified the woman found murdered at Annojiguda earlier this week as K Latha (29), a resident of Manikeshwar Nagar on the Osmania University campus.

Investigation revealed that three days before the murder, Latha went to her relative’s house in Maisammaguda in Ghatkesar. She went missing last Saturday and was found dead at a construction site on Sunday afternoon.

Officials examined the CCTV footage of surveillance cameras from the crime spot up to Uppal but could not identify her nor trace the suspect. However, with the help of her photograph, which was widely circulated across the police stations and in the local area, her identity was confirmed.

Ghatkesar inspector N Chandra Babu said the samples which were collected from the crime spot are being analysed and efforts are on to identify and nab the killer at the earliest.
