Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar on Wednesday said police should not be restricted by jurisdictional boundaries in crime control and stressed strict implementation of the ‘Zero Delay’ policy for immediate response to crimes.
Speaking at a coordination meeting of the Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda police commissionerates at the TGICCC, he said the nearest police unit must act promptly, regardless of limits, to prevent criminals from exploiting delays.
The three commissioners discussed joint surveillance on habitual offenders, intelligence sharing and coordinated traffic enforcement.
Key decisions included uniform ‘No Entry’ timings for heavy vehicles, joint drunk-driving checks, special drives to collect pending challans and real-time coordination at border junctions.
