Hyderabad police issues advisory on foreigners’ stay registration rules

Hyderabad Police issued an advisory under the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, mandating hotels, hospitals, and educational institutions to report foreign nationals within 24 hours of accommodation or enrolment and maintain records for at least one year.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police issued an advisory to the public informing that, as per the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, it is mandatory for the public to provide information to the police about the stay of foreign nationals in their premises.

In a press release, the police stated that, “it is mandatory for hotels/hostels/house owners or any such premises providing accommodation to foreigners; hospitals or any such medical institutions providing sleeping facility to patients and attendants, to submit their information in Form III (earlier referred as Form-C) to the registration officer through designated online portal, within 24 hours of enrolment/accommodation and maintain such record for a period of at least one year.”


The police further stated that all the educational institutions, including schools or any other institution providing admission to foreigners, shall furnish details in Form II (earlier Form-A) to the registration officer through designated online portal, within 24 hours of enrolment/accommodation, and maintain such record for a period of at least one year.
