Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police on Thursday launched ‘Margadarshak,’ a community guidance initiative aimed at strengthening support systems for women, children and other vulnerable individuals facing distress situations.
At the launch, City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, who conceptualised the initiative, said, a network of trained volunteers will guide victims towards appropriate institutional support, including police, legal services and counselling facilities.
Implemented through the Hyderabad City Security Council (HCSC), the initiative seeks to bridge the gap between minor distress situations and formal legal complaints by helping individuals access timely assistance and encouraging early reporting of harassment or intimidation.
