Hyderabad Police launches ‘refresher course’ for its patrol units

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police started a refresher course for its patrol units including patrol cars and blue colt’s teams in various aspects of policing.
Hyderabd Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, interacting with the media personnel said that the role of patrol cars and blue colts is very important as they are first responders. “These personnel move round-the-clock among the public and attend the distress calls. Training them is very crucial for us,” he said.
The Commissioner said the personnel conduct patrolling based on crime history of a particular area and their routes are frequently changed to meet the demand and crime pattern of the local area. “I am asking the police beat constables to frequently go for foot patrolling also to instill a sense of fear in the criminals. At the same time, the patrol officers should be courteous to the law abiding citizens,” he said.
